Lisa Smith, a noted author, and Board Member of the Friends of Old Hastings Mill Store Museum, invites BCHNS members to visit the Museum on BC Family Day 2025. (February 15/16 1 – 4 pm) The Museum is Vancouver’s oldest surviving building c. 1868.
The theme of the event is “Amazing Survivors, Superstar Heroes” and is family-oriented featuring story panels showing events of heroism and survival, a craft activity, artifacts from the Great Vancouver Fire of 1886, and a Fire Smart BC display. The event salutes all the first responders and front-line workers who protect our communities, both locally, nationally, and internationally.
