Marion Woodward Lecture Oct 27, 2016 attended by BCHNS members

The UBC School of Nursing annual Marion Woodward Lecture was held on October 27/16.

The afternoon symposium considered  “Transformative Practices in Long-Term Care” in a panel presentation. The panel members were Nancy Gault, Deputy Seniors Advocate for BC, Dr. John Keady, Professor of Older Peoples Mental Health Nursing, University of Manchester, Sarah Leavitt, UBC Creative Writing Lecturer and author of Tangles, Dr. Alison Phinney, UBC School of Nursing Professor, and Jo-Ann Tait, Program Director, elder Care and Palliative Services, Providence Health Care.

The evening lecture, by Dr. John Keady, described the many innovative projects he is involved with in caring for those with dementia.
