The celebration held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 paid tribute to the history of the North Vancouver General Hospital which opened its doors in 1929 and was the medical focal point of the North Shore for many years.
The fun family-friendly day included tours of the 1st floor of the hospital as it would have been in the early days with historical displays, an invitational car show, food, entertainment and children games. The turnout to view the nursing display was impressive at approximately 1500 people.
BCHNS member Sharon Provost & assistant organizer, Jenifer Bartlett were key co-ordinators of the event. Many items for displaby were borrowed from BCHNS Archives. Cheryl Entwistle attended & has provided us with Photos of the event.
