Since its founding in 1989, the British Columbia History of Nursing Society [BCHNS] has produced and collected a substantial quantity of archives and artifacts documenting it's own activities, as well as materials related to the general history of nursing in British Columbia.

The BCHNS Scholarship Fund raises money to provide assistance to nurses and student nurses who are undertaking history of nursing research in an approved educational program. Money has been raised mainly through tax-deductible donations and bequests to the fund and through sale of Note Cards.

The BCHNS Archival Fund campaign was established to raise funds for a permanent facility to house nursing archives and artifacts.  The fundraising primarily consists of Tax-Deductible Monetary Donations, or through hosting special events, sales of Pages of History and sales of Note Cards.

The BCHNS artifacts collection consists mainly of nursing artifacts (including nursing objects such as thermometers, pins, caps, documents, memorabilia). These are systematically maintained and preserved by an Archivist in conjunction with BCHNS Archives Committee to ensure the vital history of nursing in British Columbia is passed on to future generations in an orderly and accessible manner.
